GROUP - OSHA 1994 WITH OSHA (AMENDMENT) 2022 (01001)

Description
The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994) ensures workplace safety in Malaysia by requiring employers and employees to maintain safe and healthy environments, covering most industries except the armed forces and domestic work. The OSHA (Amendment) 2022 expands this coverage to all sectors, increases penalties for non-compliance, and requires smaller companies to appoint safety coordinators. It also includes mandatory mental health assessments, reflecting the importance of psychosocial well-being in the workplace, and enhances protections for whistleblowers who report unsafe conditions. These changes aim to strengthen workplace safety and align Malaysia with global safety standards.
